This course is Electrical and electronics based course dealing with substation design and equipment's used in substation. It is a theory course based on the substations design . The course deals with topics such as introduction of substations, Types substations like Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) &Air Insulated Substation(AIS), differences between substation, Major equipment used in Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) &Air Insulated Substation(AIS), Layouts of Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) &Air Insulated Substation(AIS), Insulation coordination of Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) &Air Insulated Substation(AIS), Grounding and shielding Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) &Air Insulated Substation(AIS) and Substation automation.
